About us: Rules and Joining

What is a PYO? Simply, it is a Paint Your Own Windstone figurine!

Membership is open to everyone! There is no approval process. Once you join, you're in!

If you want to submit something, simply click the "Join Our Group" Button at the top (it has an icon of three tiny people). By joining, you can see all of the uploads from others in addition to adding your own!
You can then go to the "Gallery" (button at top, next to "About Us") and submit your deviations. Please be sure to select the correct category from the drop-down menu!

Before submitting, please read our submission rules! They are pretty simple and common-sense stuff. You can find them by clicking the "About Us" button at the top of your screen. It also has the icon of three tiny people. windstonepyo.deviantart.com/ab…

If you want to watch the submissions but don't want to join, you can click the "+Watch" button on the upper left of your screen.

i have a question about the statues, when painting them what would you recommend for painting and coloring them with, i use acrylic paints myself but i wanted to ask just in case :D

Sorry for taking about a billion years to respond, the group doesn't see much activity anymore and I forget to check it! Generally acrylic paints are recommended, but you can use any water-based paint on them; you can test your paint out on an inexpensive "must" PYO if you aren't sure if it will react well. Oil and enamel based paints are not recommended as the gypsum likes to be able to "breathe" and oil/enamel type paints might crack over time.

Oh , probably,but if something ends up in the wrong place, it's no big deal to move them around.
 I am not sure why some groups have such a fit when you submit stuff to the wrong folder!

Wow I didnt know these sculptures were still around. I bought mine back in the 80s, two of the adult dragons and the rear unicorn/horse. Wanted to get the chinese unicord and the baby in egg dragon but the store closed.
